Artistic Past, Present, and Future
Allzah desires to provide resources for artists in Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia. The site launched in September of 2002 and plans on implementing many free features for musicians, artists, actors, community theatres and writers. The planned features will be implemented over a six month period and include message boards for bands to post their information and photo, mini-art galleries, an events calendar as well as forums for music and writers and small-businesses. Our goal is to get your art, whatever it is, to be seen!
Initially Allzah started as a pet project of Heather Bartlett's to review her nights out with her goddessy gal-pals, but she realized that she could utilize her gift for running her mouth (in written form) combined with her artistic abilities and Robert Bartlett's professional web developing skills to bring her love of theatre, art, music and writing to the region she considers home.
As of December 2002 the staff of Allzah consists of friends and family that volunteer their time writing, reviewing, photographing and pretty much just coming up with ideas to make Allzah worth reading.
Allzah went from approximately 200 hits per day when we launched in September and now average about 3200 hits per day as of mid-November, a mere couple months later. We hope as Allzah grows and more people submit articles and opinions and visit the forums that Allzah will become a familiar word in DC, Baltimore and surrounding areas.
